Adrian Evans

Adrian Evans assists Henry Hughes’ national and international clients with patent applications in New Zealand and overseas.

Adrian has degrees in both law and science, with his science degree majoring in genetics, molecular biology and physiology. Prior to joining Henry Hughes in 2006, Adrian worked at the Intellectual Property Office of New Zealand where he examined applications for patents, trade marks, and registered designs.

Adrian drafts and files patent specifications in New Zealand in a wide range of industries, including water blasting and grinding machines. Adrian also files and prosecutes patent applications in New Zealand on behalf of national and international clients in the pharmaceutical, mechanical and manufacturing sectors.

Adrian has made presentations at innovation and technology expos and is a regular speaker to secondary school students, enrolled in the Young Enterprise Scheme, about intellectual property. A number of his articles have been published in magazines. Adrian also tutors subjects in-house for patent attorney examinations.

Adrian is a Fellow of the New Zealand Institute of Patent Attorneys.
