Border Protection Notices
It is possible to prevent the importation of counterfeit goods into New Zealand by lodging Border Protection Notices with the Customs Service of New Zealand.
Such notices can be lodged by or on behalf of the registered proprietor of the trade mark or the owner of copyright.
The Customs Service is very eager to prevent the importation of counterfeit goods but to be able to do this a Border Protection Notice must have been filed.
