Zoe joined the trade marks team in 2026 and works across the full remit of trade mark work including searching, clearance, filing, prosecution, oppositions, and enforcement. She also handles ongoing trade mark portfolio management.
She has worked in the trade mark world for 20 years, having first started wording as a trade mark examiner at the Intellectual Property Office of NZ (IPONZ) in 2006. She then moved to London where she gained experience working as a paralegal and responding to the United Kingdom and European Union Intellectual Property Offices. Over the last 10 years, she has worked as a trade mark lawyer for a large New Zealand based IP firm working across the full spectrum of trade mark matters with a focus on New Zealand, Australia, and the Pacific Islands.
She has significant experience working with local businesses, large international corporates, and international law firms across a wide range of industries including pharmaceutical, healthcare, fast moving consumer goods, food and beverage, pet care, entertainment, and cosmetics.
She is a fellow of the NZIPA (New Zealand Intellectual Property Attorneys Inc), and a member of the Intellectual Property Society of Australia and New Zealand (IPSANZ).
Outside of work she loves to travel, and is actively involved in helping the community, being part of the Zonta Club of Wellington. She also loves quizzes, board games, beaches, and snowboarding.
